South Lake Dog Park

Located under two masssive power towers. Two, small fenced off areas, looks artificial and uninspiring to take your dog. Would be great to have a wider open space, away from the crackling power lines.

I don't know who designs these ugly little parks! It's ridiculously small, no shade in the summer, no protection from rain in the winter and no seating! The designers need to see what a decent dog park looks like...check out the one in Broome St Nedlands.

Been twice now. In my opinion - Very nice space for the dogs.. not too big the dogs can disappear, not too small the dogs can't run around. Perfect size for any kind of dog. Small dogs have their own space and big dogs have their own. I'm sure if you plan well you can avoid crowds if you have an aggressive dog.. if you have a social dog, on a normal afternoon I'm sure you will find some friendly dogs to socialize your dog. 5 stars from me..

Really nice place, there's fresh water for the dogs and x2 sperate areas for dogs that might need more space, there's bins and dog bags provided. There is a seat for people to use. Be careful of the dog poop that doesn't get picked up. There's no shade due to the power lines so plan your visit.

Loved it, no dog poo anywhere. Great that there is a small dog park and a large dog park. Pup loved it

On our way to freo and stopped for a quick run. Very friendly locals and safe fenced park. 2. One for big dogs and one for small. There was a lot of poo in the little dog run but the big dog run was clean.

Nice grassy open area with some agility equipment, also has a water fountain and tap. Only 1 bench for us bipedal creatures though. Only drawback is the lack of shade which may be a problem in summer

Today was the first time we went to this south lake park. It was not what we expected at all. I had to even ask a man whether this was the park or was it a private property!There are two blocks with very well-maintained – such as the grass was cut to perfect length and everything looked nice and clean. There were poop bags for the dog owners to pick up their furry babies’ poo.I am impressed with the double gate system to ascertain dog safety. In that double doors, there is time that you can adjust the leashes etc without disturbing pedestrians.However, I believe that the enrichment for the park can be enhanced. There are not so much stimulation for the doggos as many other parks we have been to.Furthermore, despite what I thought look rather peculiar, the two exact same establishments can prevent any aggressive , dangerous actions. It is nice that some dogs that prefer to play on their own and feel uncomfortable/ unhappy with other dogs can have a park to run around OFF LEASH.

my dogs come here most days. It's a nice park with some agility equipment inside the enclosures but not much else enrichment wise. grounds are well maintained, they provide bags for cleaning up after your dog and a water fountain. There's 2 enclosures, one smaller with shorter fences. Each enclosure has 1 bench seating. There's no toilets in the area. There is not really assigned parking spaces and the parking area is unpaved.

Great new off-leash, enclosed dog park. 2 large enclosures, Green grass, drinking stations, poo bags and bins, exercise/training equipment. No shade a negative in Summer but perimeter trees are growing.
